When Apartments.com approached us about developing a Facebook application to complement their well known website, they had done a lot of research into reputable development firms that can develop an application that will match the power of their award winning website and offer facebook users a new way to list their apartments and Social Cubix fit the company that they were looking for. We worked with their development division in mapping out the application layout as well as design look and feel and came up with a visually appealing app.

With the apartments.com application, users can list their houses or apartments on Facebook, add pictures, rate apartments and recommend apartment units to their Facebook friends. With the listing feature, users are able to preview their listings and see how they would appear after listing and also share the listing to their Facebook news feed for maximum visibility.

Property Sharing & Recommending

The ultimate real estate referral application! With this app you can refer your friends to real estate properties and earn real referral money. The application allows real estate agents to create listings of their property by entering relevant information, uploading videos, enabling location favorites and amenities to be displayed on a map, allowing bookmarks, and make donations to charities.

The applications main selling point, apart from the advanced set of features it boasts of, is the way we married the elegant design with the application’s framework. We developed a state of the art backend that allows agents to track referrals, make payments, and update their property information which includes virtual tours. We also integrated Google maps API that enables users to immediately get a visual of places of interest around the property so as to help with their decision making process. Start by searching through properties, select friends you want to refer, and also select a cause you want to donate a portion of the money to.

Carleen was tired of the bare bone look of her page on Facebook so she decided to go for something more customized to reflect the personality of her creative works. She came to Social Cubix to build a simple but attractive fan page that will provide information about her services. Social Cubix worked with Carleen to establish a layout and provided suggestions on the design direction to go with.
Google Map API

When Boy Scouts of America wanted to leverage their Facebook presence to increase real-store sales, Social Cubix answered the call. A full-featured store finder was created and plugged into their Facebook Fan Page, giving thousands of their fans access to Boy Scouts stores nationwide.

The Boy Scouts were aware of the advantages of using the Google Maps API to run the mapping utility: fast searches, a user-friendly interface, and multiple views of the map. Social Cubix had the expertise to program the mapping utility into a full Facebook application, directly on their fan page.

Users can easily search for different types of stores nearest to them, including Scout Shops, Council Shops, and Merchandise Distributors. After they enter some details about their address, the Store Locator creates directions from their home to the store. Potential customers can easily print out directions to the store so they don’t get lost.

66000 new fans, Brand Page Campaign

Dr. Salomon is an established nutritionist in Latin America. With multiple years of experience and personal consultation for leading celebrities, Dr. Salomon is celebrated in the Latin entertainment industry. The only issue was that he hadn’t tapped into the Facebook population to develop a fan base. Dr. Salmon contacted us after reviewing several proposals from development firms to deliver to him an application to will enhance his page and fan count. He was uncertain what the application would be but he was sure he needed more fans to establish traction on Facebook.

After talking with our team and bouncing ideas, Social Cubix came up with a solution that will be tailored towards what Dr. Salomon already does to increase his fan page interaction. We design and developed an application that will enable users get a personalized meal recommendation at any time of the day based on their health/weight targets. The application uses an active clock that determines how early or late it is to eat and proffers food options determined by Dr. Salomon himself.

The results were outstanding. Within the first 4 weeks, his fan base had grown to 66,000+ users and has been getting good social interaction with his posts. With that type of user base for his business, he has seen ripple effects into the demand for his services as a nutritionist.

Social Cubix programmed and integrated the application with the same level of design and programming excellence we achieved with the Televisa Live TV application. The channels are streamed live with great clarity even on the Facebook platform and can be switched with ease. The twist to this was that it would be on the Facebook platform and users can be compensated for referring friends.

Social Cubix programmed the application to allows users to search up businesses like restaurants, car dealerships, and others and recommend their experience with the business to their friends while receiving offers for doing so. We developed a system that will generate coupon print outs, ready with the You Gotta Try design, that users can print out to take to the vendor. The coupon features the name of the business, the image of the referrer, and the coupon offer for redemption. In addition, we also designed a website that will complement the application.

The client had an extensive library of Manga editions but needed to have those on the Facebook platform. There were a few challenges to the conversion, including page loads, easy transition to pages, book marking through the numerous pages, etc. Social Cubix handled all the challenges, to the client’s pleasant surprise. We introduced AJAX programming to allow for quick page refreshes and enhanced user experience while flipping through the Manga pages. We also implemented a rating system and a functional admin to control all the entries in the front end for unlimited additions.

With this application, your friends or funeral attendees can vote to tell you where they think you are headed to (Heaven or hell) based on the life you lived on Earth, they can drop notes (private or public) into your casket, which tells you anything from what you already knew, to shocking secrets.
Social Cubix brainstormed and came up with the Bottle Spin idea. Idea is that you spin the TyKu branded bottle and the application randomizes your friend’s list for the bottle’s end to land on. Whomever the bottle head lands on, the application will suggest different things to do to the person including blowing kisses, throwing a fun slap etc. If not interested in performing the action with that friend, no problem. Simply spin, spin and spin again with fun! Application was developed using advanced FLEX language for a more fluid user experience.

This Facebook App is for Universal Life Church Monastery. ULC is the only denomination in the world that grants ordinations online regardless of creed. The application allows users to get ordained, create an ordination certificate, and post information to the ULC website database.

With this application, Social Cubix programmed a certificate creator that allows users to enter their credential information and watch as their certificate of ordination is created. They can then post the certificate to their wall for the friends to see and make comments. Additionally, users can elect to use the application as congregation members and become clergy members at any time they are ready to be ordained.

Webcam into the world’s largest exhibit at the world’s largest aquarium, the Ocean Voyager exhibit, built by The Home Depot, at the Georgia Aquariums. This application features a live stream of the aquarium at different angles so you can catch your favorite ocean creatures any time at any place. Users of the application can share the application with friends and even add the application to their profile page.

While developing the application, we helped Georgia Aquarium optimize their live feeds by accelerating the buffer rate as well as making suggestions for an in-browser player that will best suit their live feeds. We also worked with the client in configuring the best host environment that will allow the application to withstand increased views and still retain stability.

IM2, Religion, Video Sharing

The I Am Second application allows Facebook users to share a personal video story about how they play secondary to God in their lives as part of an inspirational movement. The I am second movement is a multi-million dollar initiative involving many celebrities showcasing stories in their lives that point to God as the primary reason for their existence.

When the I Am Second team approached us, they were already working with an agency to develop their website. We worked with the agency to synchronize data flow between the application and the website as well as co-ordinate the design presentations. With the application, we programmed video upload and embed options, text upload and sharing, as well as a celebrity recommendation utility that allows users to recommend celebrities they would like to see.
