Interactive Flash Animation & Microsite

Challenge:

Nintendo was getting ready to launch their fun packed game, FlingSmash and needed a promotional microsite as part of the launch campaign. The site was to feature the FlingSmash characters animated by user’s motion and scene level interatkion with the game video in a fun way that showcased the games addictive play.

Solution:

Working with the game publisher, Social Cubix designed the microsite around the FlingSmash theme and creatively programmed reactions from the video based on the user’s motion interacting with the FlingSmash characters. The site, programmed in Flash Action Script showed deep integration with different scenes in the promotional video as elements from the video popped into the page as the user interacted with Zip and Pip—the lively characters of Suthon Island.

Results:

End result was a fun microsite that helped generate traffic and buzz around the Nintendo FlingSmah console game for the Wii.
