Challenge:

Take 2 Interactive is a leading game developer with hit games like NBA 2K 12 and NHL 2K11 dominating the sports and leisure game entertainment space. The client wanted to develop a fun application as a promotional launching pad for a new game Let’s Cheer and contracted Social Cubix as development partner for the application.

Solution:

Working with the creative team at 2K, Social Cubix firmed up an app concept that will allow users to submit fun cheer leading photos and customize the frames for the photos. With this Flash Application developed in AS3, users are able to select from over 1400 frame combinations based on symbols, custom letters and frame shades all from a highly intuitive user interface. The application comes with a robust back-end that allowed 2K to track all submissions and view viral statistics about the application’s usage and performance on Facebook.

Results:

Upwards of 60,000 app installs in just one month has the application doing an average of 2000 unique picture submissions per day. The contest is still in progress so check back for updated stats.
