Suzuki has had a good run in the American market with its new range of vehicles, from the Vitara to the SX4 as they look to gain more appeal to motor enthusiasts. People love Suzuki for their cost and durability but have not been able to share their experience using social media.
Suzuki approached Social Cubix to develop an application that will allow users share their ownership experiences with their friends on Facebook and rate the vehicles in the Suzuki range. The challenging part is making the application fun and not a sales application in an attracive and interactive way.
Social Cubix worked with the marketing arm of Suzuki to come up with the application concept that allows users to scroll through the vehicles and easily rate them while leaving their experience entries on the page.
The interface was made simple by use of Java Script & Ajax to allow for the comments to easily accompany the vehicles so the user doesn’t feel overwhelmed. We also built a very robust back end for Suzuki community management personnel to manage the activity on the page and also view the statistics surrounding entries and assign secondary administrators.
The application was an instant hit on Facebook receiving about 450,000 entries so far which has helped Suzuki understand how they are perceived among their car owners particularly the Facebok age range of 18-35. In addition, the entry shares helped the application users become advocates and brand ambassadors of Suzuki creating exceptional marketing value for Suzuki as a company.
