Brand Experience Facebook App
Sharp as a pioneer in LED/LCD TV displays industry wanted to create a portal that will help retail associates working at different retail stores across the United States to learn and enjoy the Sharp culture by experiencing the brand outside of the TV boxes they sell. Though instructional, Sharp did not want the page to just be for product education but to have a fun element to it as it hopes to build a community of experts online. Sharp contacted Social Cubix to figure out how to achieve this on their Facebook page as social media experts.
Social Cubix worked with the product team at Sharp to figure out the specific campaign objectives in order to build a project plan. After several meetings, we developed a blueprint for crafting the application. We designed an application user experience and interface that is easy to use and one that helps the techy experts ease into the application. With the application, users can enter to win amazing sharp products as prizes when they provide a training session objective which can be shared with their friends for later voting. Outside of the fun contest entries, users can learn about the innovative lines of Sharp TVs, discuss features, rate them and recommend them to friends. In addition, these experts can engage with Sharp to discuss ideas, problems and opportunities directly from the Facebook app.
The campaign saw a dramatic and measurable increase in involvement of the retail experts in learning about the Sharp culture. The twitter page saw a significant traction as people tweeted ideas and even customers tweeting to the page about help received in store by the Sharp experts.
