Challenge:

Everyone knows Canon as a leader among the personal electronics industry, particularly for their digital cameras. As a global corporation, Canon employs thousands of people, which is why they decided to develop a “Hot Jobs” career search application for their Facebook fan page. The challenge was that Canon already had a careers platform and was not interested in creating a new one disconnected from the existing platform.

Solution:

Social Cubix programmed, designed, and developed an application which not only provides users with the ability to search for careers based on a number of different specifications, but also provides a plethora of other interactive features, including news articles, poll questions, and even an events calendar which tracks upcoming events put on by Canon representatives. The user also has the ability to create their own profile and upload their portfolio within the application itself. The most unique feature of the application is “Match Me,” which automatically matches users up to jobs that they qualify for, based on the information they input into their profile. Remarkably, all of these features are located and remain directly within the application, with no outside linkage necessary. With a beautiful design juxtaposed with complex technological elements, the Canon Hot Jobs application is sure to ease the stress of the job search process for all who enter the application. Already Canon has reported many hires through the application with many fans gaining casual insight into what it is like working for Canon.
